Assess more than the visible dent
Section damage can affect appearance, structure, alignment or the hardware attached to the panel. A cosmetic mark and a badly distorted section require different conversations. If the door has become crooked or catches in its tracks, stop operating it and arrange an assessment.
Check whether a compatible section exists
Panel size, profile, model, joints and hardware compatibility matter. A section that looks close in a photograph is not necessarily suitable. Have the door label and full-door photos ready, and ask whether the correct matching component can still be supplied.
Consider the finished result
An older finish may not visually match a new section even when the component is compatible. Ask about the expected appearance alongside the functional repair. Compare the condition of the remaining door, existing hardware and desired improvements when considering a complete replacement.
Compare complete scopes
A one-section quote and a new-door quote should explain the included hardware, installation and any opener considerations. Do not assume a new panel makes every other component new. We provide panel replacement and new door installation, subject to an assessment and product availability.
